During my Kumbakonam pilgrimage in 2017, along with family, I bound to put my car a hard stop in a road side, little but crowded hotel for 2 reasons,

1. We have crossed our usual lunch time &
2. Our next town is about 1hour drive from here.

We entered the hotel with little hesitation (obeyed my corp working learning...doubt all) but the hotel was well maintained, dishes have put in very clean vessels, served one by one on banana leaf with caring & smiley faces

Wow…the taste remembered my Grandma, Amma preparation & of course my childhood / hometown days…. The food taste & aroma mercilessly tested us in-take capacity to go for more & more…. finally, we all had a homely and very tasty meal after a long long time

The hotel run by a family residing locally for long time & only open for afternoon lunch. During the conversation, we understood that it is very famous & favourite stop for many VIPs residing in the surrounding districts…

Met & thanked Hotel owner for amazing variety, taste & aroma…& asked about the masala mix secret (again a learning from corp working…) he replied very humbly with smile, that…. there is no secret in preparation or to enhance taste…just preparing all masalas freshly ONLY for the day need.

Also he added that the spices for masalas are procured from directly farmer or single vendor for almost 40years now & Vegetables are purchased locally. Finally, he said, if we have quality consciousness in every steps, food quality & taste is ensured…

I was totally jerked with the answer, he has put the quality process in simple way, where corporates breaking their head to implement Kaizen, ISO & some Sigma belts. His simple but powerful words have put me in a different world & strongly pushed to explore on it…. That was the starting point of my 3years travel towards to offering quality Spices & Masalas to all with the help of same Gentleman, who kindled me.

Finally, resigned from PAN India role & started putting our own products on shelf. We are getting good feedback / reviews / support from customers…Obviously our focus & efforts to sustain the quality in every step for ever… as he thought….
